Abstract:To further explore the axial compression performance of concrete columns strengthened with TRC
the effects of textile layers
the lap length of textile and short fibers used to modify fine grain concrete as the TRC matrix on axial compression performance of reinforced columns was studied in this paper. The results indicated that the failure pattern and ductility of TRC-strengthened plain concrete column was improved
and the bearing capacity was increased by 17.32%. For the RC columns strengthened with TRC
the lap length of textile and short fibers modifying fine grain concrete did not have obvious influence on the constraint effect of TRC
but TRC constraint effect was increased obviously and the ductility of columns was improved with the increase of textile layers
and the bearing capacity was increased up to 14.74%. At the end of this paper
calculation formulas of the ultimate bearing capacity of RC columns strengthened with TRC were deduced and the calculation model was given. The research results provided the reference for the engineering application of TRC-strengthened concrete column.
